The bookish ramblings of a reading mom

It's been a real long while since I've had the time to sit and write anything. Lately my blog posts have been full of reviews, spotlights, cover reveals and not much of my own voice. I need to fix that and write to you all more often.
First off, thank you all that take the time to stop by and read my blog. Reading is my life and sharing what I read has become my passion. For the first 30 years of my life I didn't really have any one thing that I was really passionate about (besides my husband). Then when I turned 30 and had my first daughter that all changed. Suddenly I became passionate about a lot of things. First it was all about parenting and raising my beautiful daughters. Then a few years into the whole mom gig, I began to realize that I needed to have something that was just for me. Reading has always been one of my favorite ways to escape. So I started using books as my "me" time. I would let the hubster take care of the girls for about an hour and go someplace quiet to read. It was my new found moments of zen.
Then one day I stumbled across a newly formed book club that met close to where I live. Oh joy of joys! It
was like the angels were smiling down on me. And the best part is, this book club is genre specific!! They read paranormal & fantasy. Had I died and gone to heaven? No probably not, but I was so extremely happy to have a place to go to talk about books that actually interested me! Throw in some really amazing ladies and I'm the most eager book club goer in history.
So flash forward to today. I'm now a reader, blogger, reviewer, author pimp, and all around book pusher. I'm thrilled that any of you care about what I have to say on the subject. What I have to say is this: Read. Share what you read by leaving reviews on amazon, goodreads, b&n, and anywhere else you can. Supporting the authors that make these amazing stories for us to read is really important. You don't have to be like me and devote hours every day to your support of authors, but leave a quick review. It helps. And keep reading!

  1. I have never been in a book club for real. The internet is my book club. Lucky you finding a club that reads what you read!
I am a fellow book pusher!
