Girl of Fire by Norma Hinkens Review

Girl of Fire
The Expulsion Project Book 1
By Norma Hinkens

BLURB
ORIGIN. DESTINY. FATE. How far would you go to unravel the truth?

Trattora is the High Daughter of a Chieftain on the primitive frontier planet, Cwelt. Velkan is an indentured serf who has never known a day of freedom from his brutish master. Forced to flee an invasion by Galactic Maulers, they find themselves thrown together on a ramshackle mining vessel that harbors more than one dark secret. Fate and chemistry combine when the pair’s matching birth bracelets lead them to make a shocking discovery about their true lineage. Stakes rise when they uncover the classified Expulsion Project, and the devastating sacrifice their birth families made to spare their lives. Determined to save their planet of origin from liquidation, Trattora and Velkan plunge headlong into a race against time and space to take down the genocidal self-actualizing software that now controls large swathes of their home planet. But will they navigate the treacherous dealings of the seedy Galactic underworld in time to rescue the families who loved them enough to let them go?

Girl of Fire is the first novel in The Expulsion Project, a Sci-fi, dystopian thriller trilogy with a hint of romance. If you are a Firefly fan, or in Divergent withdrawal, this is the book mashup for you!

MY REVIEW
Tratorra was not born on Cwelt. But she was adopted by the chieftain and his wife and will inherit the right to rule. She loves her adoptive parents, but Tratorra longs to find her birth parents. She gets her first clue when she meets a trader named Sarth. Sarth and her crew came to Cwelt to look for minerals to mine, but her serf has a bracelet with her home symbol on it. She must go with them to find the answers of her origin. But she doesn’t plan on falling for the serf and the adventures they go on. Her trp is one dangerous situation after another. All of which she very gracefully escapes. But can they find the answers of their home planet?
This book had me hooked from the second page. The excitement and adventure was non stop! I really enjoyed this adventure novel of the girl of fire and her galactic travels.
4.5 stars for Girl of Fire
